Ingredients:
- 125g magarine
- pinch of salt
- 3 eggs
- 1 cup dates
- 250g spelt flour (any other flour of your choice)
- 7g baking soda
- 15g baking powder
- 1 tsp cinnamon (any other flavouring)
Dates are a good subsitute for sugar and are known as a nutrition champion. They contain fibre, potassium, vitamin B5 and B6. They have a low glycemic index of 42, lower than honey at 50. They do not easily spike your blood at the same rate as honey. Provides energy without the negative effects of other bad carbohydrates like sweets.
